NHS App - 13+ years
As a practice we highly recommend that patients use the NHS App. Having the NHS App will help support you to access your health information without needing to contact the surgery directly. This App is available to people aged 13 and over. You can self-register for the NHS App which can be downloaded for Android or iOS.
The NHS App enables you to:
- order repeat medication
- track where your prescription is from the GP to the pharmacy
- Review test results
- Review your patient record and consultations
- keeps the population up to date with important national health information i.e. vaccinations
- check symptoms using the health A-Z on the NHS website
- find out what to do when they need help urgently using NHS 111 online
- make a decision about organ donation
- choose whether the NHS uses their data for research and planning
- Logging in to the NHS App – Help and support – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
Other Apps (SystmOnline, Airmid)
The Adam Practice recommend you DO NOT use the SystmOnline Mobile App at the present time. Please use any supported web browser instead.
For confidentiality purposes we do not allow access for patients aged between 12 – 16 years of age.
You can now access a variety of services online without having to phone or visit the surgery. Sign up now to GP online services and you will be able to use a website or app to:
- View, book* and cancel appointments online (*currently not available)
- Order repeat prescriptions online
- Update your personal details online
- View a summary of your medical record online
The Airmid App enables people to:
- Communicate with clinicians without the need for a face to face appointments – use video and direct messaging
- Full medical record access
- Ability to add to own medical record
- Integration with medical devices and wearables to feed data directly into your record e.g. Apple Health and Google Fit
- Fingerprint Authentication
- Set and receive appointment and medication reminders
- Request medication
- Find local health care organisations
- Proxy access available for family members or carers to have access to other patient records where necessary

Using SystmOnline – A Guide for Patients
SystmOnline allows patients or someone acting on behalf of the patient to proactively manage their care. The online services available include the ability to view an online Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as well as booking appointments and managing medication.
SystmOnline is available as an online service or via apps, providing patients with convenience and flexibility when managing their care.
