Use of face masks from July 19th

Face masks or coverings will continue to be mandatory when visiting The Adam Practice or any healthcare setting from July 19th. This helps to protect our staff and vulnerable patients. Covid-19 Vaccine latest – 22/06/21

First doses

All over 18’s in England are now eligible to receive the Covid Vaccine. The majority of patients should have received an invitation to book their vaccine either at Poole Ferry Port or another local site, however if you have not been contacted, you may either contact your own GP Surgery (if you wish to have your vaccine at Poole Ferry Port) or call 119 to book at other venues.

We recommend using email for vaccination booking enquiries wherever possible, as telephone lines are currently extremely busy due to significant increased general demand.

Second doses

Patients will be contacted to book their second dose, however we cannot do so until we have confirmation of vaccine delivery dates. If you have not been contacted within 10 weeks of having your first dose, please contact us. Once again, please use email wherever possible.

Please note that Poole Ferry Port clinics are generally held midweek due to available staffing, and patients who require a vaccine at weekends will need to contact 119.

How to access your COVID-19 vaccination status

You can access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the free NHS App from 17 May. You can access the app through mobile devices such as a smartphone or by tablet. Proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status will be shown within the NHS App. We recommend that you register with the app before booking international travel.

If you do not have access to a smartphone and know that the country you are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status, you can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine. We expect the letter to take up to 5 days to reach you.

Please do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. GP Practices cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.
