• The Oxygen Mask Rule: On a flight, you are told to fit your own mask before helping others. The same applies to caring. If you do not look after yourself, you cannot provide the best care for your loved one.
• More Than a Label: Registering as a carer isn’t about labelling yourself. It is about unlocking support to keep you healthy and resilient.
• The Benefits: Once we know your role, we can offer:
• Health Checks: We can be more mindful of the physical and emotional strain you are under.
• Flu Jabs: You become eligible for a free annual flu vaccination to protect you and the person you care for.
• Young Carers: If you are under 18 and looking after a parent or sibling, we want to know so we can support you, too.
