Key Information:

  • The Silent Warning: Think of prediabetes as an amber warning light on a car dashboard. You cannot feel it, but it is a signal that your body needs attention before a major breakdown occurs.
  • The Difference: Unlike Type 2 Diabetes (the red light), which often comes with symptoms like thirst and fatigue, prediabetes is usually symptomless. This is why testing is crucial.
  • A Window of Opportunity: Finding out you have prediabetes is not a diagnosis of failure. It is a massive advantage. It gives you the time to make lifestyle changes that can prevent the condition from progressing.
  • The Solution: In many cases, prediabetes can be managed and reversed through diet, exercise, and weight management.

What Happens Next?

If you identify with the risk factors listed below, the next step is a simple blood test.

We need to check your blood sugar levels to see if your “amber light” is on. This allows us to catch the issue early and help you take control.
