Yes. Having a group clinic does not mean your own COPD is less important.
The team will still look at your symptoms, your treatment, how COPD affects your day-to-day life and whether any changes may be needed.
Other patients may ask questions you have wondered about too, or share what has helped them live with COPD day to day. This might include staying active, coping with breathlessness or making a change they had been struggling with.
The conversation may also raise something you had not thought to ask yourself but that turns out to be relevant to you.
No. You decide what you feel comfortable contributing. You can take part as much or as little as you want.
If you would rather listen than talk, you can still benefit from hearing the questions and experiences of other people living with COPD.
No. You do not have to arrive already knowing what you want to ask.
If you need help completing any questionnaires or forms, someone can help you with them.
Your COPD is still reviewed individually, while the group can bring extra questions and experiences into the conversation.
The aim is for you to leave with a better understanding of your COPD and feel more confident managing it.
