Key Information:

  • More Than Just Jabs: This appointment is a comprehensive travel risk assessment designed to create a personalised health plan for your specific trip.
  • Timing: Ideally, you should have this consultation 6 to 8 weeks before you travel, as some vaccines take time to become fully effective.
  • Preparation: Your nurse will need to know your destination, the duration of your stay, whether you are in cities or rural areas, and your planned activities.
  • Costs: Some vaccines (like Tetanus, Typhoid, and Hepatitis A) are available for free on the NHS. Others (such as Rabies, Yellow Fever and more) may incur a charge, which we will explain during your visit.
  • General Safety: We will also discuss essential advice regarding mosquito bite prevention, food and water safety, and sun protection.
